Many indie artists fail to get responses because their emails sound unprofessional or generic. This guide gives you a proven email structure, common mistakes to avoid, and ways to follow up without being annoying.


Your pitch should be personalized and contain these core elements:

  • Short, clear subject line (e.g., "Debut Single: [Your Song Title] - For Review")
  • Greeting with the blogger’s or editor’s name
  • 2–3 sentence introduction with your artist name, genre, and key info
  • What you’re asking for (song review, feature, playlist add, etc.)
  • Short story behind your track or release

  • Thank you and a polite sign-off
